CHCNAV D270 ECHO SOUNDER

The CHCNAV D270 is a compact single-beam echo sounder, intended for hydrographic and bathymetric surveying, including on unmanned platforms. It has a 200 kHz transducer with a beam angle of approximately 6.5°, a water temperature sensor for real-time sound velocity correction, a 1.46" OLED display, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, an RS-232 interface and web-based configuration. The maximum transmit power is 300 W. It is intended for professional use only, by trained persons. It is not a toy.

Warnings:

• Read the manufacturer's documentation before mounting and use.
• Use only the original or manufacturer-recommended power supply, cables and accessories. Observe voltage and polarity when connecting.
• Do not operate the transducer in air for long periods. Operating without contact with water can damage the transducer. Mount it firmly, facing the water, on a suitable support.
• Secure the equipment and the transducer so that they cannot fall or be torn off while the vessel is moving. Route cables so that they are not crushed, pulled or bent excessively.
• Protect the main unit and the connectors from water, excessive moisture and dust, according to the manufacturer's specifications. Do not immerse the main unit unless the manufacturer explicitly states it is allowed.
• Use the equipment only within the temperature range specified by the manufacturer and keep it away from strong heat and prolonged direct sunlight.
• Use on board vessels involves risks (falling into the water, bad weather, electrical installations). Follow marine safety rules and wear life-saving equipment.
• Do not touch the face of the transducer while the equipment is powered.
• The equipment emits and receives radio waves (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth). Switch off wireless functions where their use is prohibited.
• Measurement accuracy depends on environmental conditions (water temperature and salinity, underwater vegetation, the bottom), the speed of sound and the transducer mounting. Check the results before using them in critical work.
• Do not disassemble or modify the equipment. Do not use it if the housing or cables are damaged.
• Do not dispose of the equipment with household waste. Take it to a waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) collection point.
• Keep out of reach of children.
