The CHCNAV Apache 4 is an unmanned surface vessel (USV) for hydrological and bathymetric surveys, optimized for measuring water velocity and discharge, with a carbon fiber hull in a detachable triple-hull design, a 1000 W brushless motor, a 32.4 V / 23.1 Ah Li-ion battery with hot-swap replacement, dual-antenna GNSS and IMU, an obstacle avoidance system, radio communication (1.5 km range) and 4G. It supports ADCP systems and compact echo sounders. It is intended for professional use only, by trained persons. It is not a toy.
Warnings:
- Read the manufacturer's documentation before first use and get trained before operating.
- Use only the original or manufacturer-recommended batteries, chargers, cables and accessories. Do not charge the batteries unattended.
- The batteries are lithium-ion. Do not open, puncture or crush them, and do not expose them to fire, strong heat or prolonged direct sunlight. Do not use them if they are swollen or damaged. Comply with the transport rules for lithium-ion batteries.
- The propeller and the motor are moving parts. Do not touch the propeller while the vessel is powered and do not start it on land.
- Do not operate the vessel near swimmers, people in the water or other vessels, in wind or waves above the limits specified by the manufacturer, during storms or in poor visibility.
- The obstacle avoidance system does not detect all obstacles (for example, nets, wires, thin or submerged objects). Supervise the vessel at all times and be ready to take manual control.
- The communication range may be reduced by weather, waves and electromagnetic interference. Keep the remote controller at least 1.5 m above water for best communication. Configure the automatic return function and check it before the mission.
- Comply with the legislation on navigation, restricted areas, water safety and environmental protection, and with the authorizations required for operating unmanned vessels in the work area.
- Do not load the vessel above the maximum payload. Fix all mounted equipment (ADCP, echo sounders, sensors) firmly.
- The equipment emits and receives radio waves (2.4 GHz radio, 4G, GNSS). Use radio frequencies in accordance with local legislation.
- After each use, rinse the vessel with fresh water (especially after use in salt water) and dry the connectors. Before each mission, check the sealing of the housing, connectors and gaskets.
- Do not disassemble or modify the equipment. Do not use it if it is damaged.
- Do not dispose of the equipment and the batteries with household waste. Take them to a waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) collection point.
- Keep out of reach of children.
